Toto Wolff says the FIA’s “absurd accusation” against him and his wife Susie has crossed “a red line”, and adds: “When you attack my family, it’s a different level.”
The story of the FIA’s investigation into Toto and Susie Wolff’s alleged conflict of interest has garnered much attention last week.
After announcing the investigation on Tuesday, on Thursday the FIA suddenly announced they are dropping it. It remains unclear what prompted the FIA to start the investigation in the first place.
Many observers and insiders believe the whole situation was started because of a personal grudge between Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.
Now in a talk with Sky Germany, Toto blasted the FIA for crossing “a red line” after involving his wife.

“An absurd accusation was created out of nowhere,” the Austrian said.
“It was a personal attack in which a red line was crossed. After ten years as team boss, I’m already pretty hardened and can hardly be surprised anymore, but this story was shocking.
“If I’m caught in the crossfire, it’s no problem for me at all. I’ve developed a thick skin and can handle it.
“But when you attack my family, it’s a different level,” Wolff concluded.
