Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says his team is not interested in Max Verstappen, as they already have driver line-up plans.

There have been unsubstantiated rumours swirling around earlier this year saying that Toto Wolff was eyeing Max Verstappen as a potential driver for Mercedes.

Some have even been suggesting that Lewis Hamilton had the power to veto any such move, which couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Wolff has immediately shot down these rumours, and now he reiterates that Mercedes is not interested in the Dutch driver.

“I think that Verstappen and his entourage are very happy where they are,” the Austrian said.

“Red Bull is their team and is their home, and why not keep it like that?

“I think we have our plans with our drivers, and Ferrari has a great line-up, and Lando Norris at McLaren looks pretty settled, so I think the trajectory is set.

“We’re not looking for a driver,” concluded Wolff.
