Valtteri Bottas confirmed he will be entering the Finnish Rally Championship season-opener, the Arctic Lapland Rally, in mid-January.

The Finn has taken part in the last two editions of the rally, and scored a fifth place in his debut in a WRC M-Sport Ford Fiesta in 2019. This year he has finished in ninth place in a Citroen DS3 WRC car.

According to Finnish journalist Jarno Saari, in 2021 Bottas will again be driving a WRC car, with either Hyundai Motorsport or Toyota Gazoo Racing. Bottas also confirmed he will be behind the wheel if the season begins as planned.

“If the rally will go ahead, then I will be at the start line, that is the current plan and hopefully it is arranged.” Bottas told Finnish publication Ilta-Sanomat.

We’ll let you know how the Finn did, this January!
