After winning his 50th Formula 1 race, Max Verstappen says “it’s a great number”, but “still rookie numbers compared to Lewis”.
Max Verstappen’s United States Grand Prix win was also his 50th career win in F1.
With this Max joined an elite ‘club’ of drivers who have won 50 races: Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and Alain Prost.
However, when asked about this after the race, the Dutch driver said this number is still “rookie numbers” compared to Lewis’ 103 career wins.

“Still rookie numbers compared to Lewis, but for sure it’s a great number. I’m very happy with it, very proud of it.
“Let’s try to win a few more,” he concluded.
