Max Verstappen gives his comments on the rumours that Red Bull breached the budget cap, and says he doesn’t fear he could lose the 2021 title.

The F1 media has been reporting on the rumours that Red Bull has breached the 2021 budget cap since Friday.

After Singapore Grand Prix Qualifying, Max Verstappen was asked to comment on these rumours.

“What I hear from the team is that everything was done correctly,” the Dutch driver said.

“I don’t value it. I know where it comes from and which people are complaining about it.”

Reports are also saying that Red Bull’s alleged breach can be classified as ‘material’, which is a harsher offense and could lead to a point deduction or even a disqualification from the championship.

Verstappen was told about these speculations and said:

“Yes, especially in England [they’re talking about this]. I am not surprised.

“But I have no fear of it. It is the other teams talking when they cannot have all the information. I think that’s a bit stupid.

“What do I think? Just shut up,” the Dutchman concluded.
