Mercedes has recently orchestrated an opportunity for Lewis Hamilton to meet his ‘oldest fan’, 105-year-old Len, and they captured it on video!

Mercedes has organised a conversation with Lewis Hamilton, after his 100th victory at the Russian Grand Prix, for his 105-year-old fan Len and his son David.

“Lewis, you absolutely amaze us every time you race, we’re so proud to be British and that you’re British,” David said.

“Thank you,” Lewis answered.

“I grew up in a normal town. I know I couldn’t have got here on my own.

“My parents and everything they sacrificed and now I have this huge group of people behind me who are not in the limelight, they’re not all at the track.

“For me, it is important for them to know that I know I couldn’t have had this result if it wasn’t for them.”

In the end Len sent his well wishes to the seven-time champion.

“I will be thinking of you in the future, I hope you have a really good future,” said the 105-year-old.
