Former F1 driver Mark Webber says Lewis Hamilton is a “more complete” driver than Michael Schumacher because he employs no “dirty tricks”.
In 2020 Lewis Hamilton has the chance to become only the second driver in history to win seven Formula 1 drivers’ championships. The only other driver to achieve this is Michael Schumacher, which understandably leads to a lot of debates over who is the better of the two.
Former F1 driver Mark Webber says the combination of Hamilton and Mercedes will be tough to beat in 2020.
“Hamilton looks extremely hungry and motivated, just like Mercedes under the leadership of Toto Wolff,” said Webber.
“They are still a great combination and will frighten the other teams. Of course, we have to wait a little while in Melbourne, because the preparation is and remains a lottery.”
Going a step further, Webber says he has “no doubt” Hamilton will clinch the 2020 title and equal Schumacher’s record.
“Absolutely, there is no doubt about that. I also think he is more complete than Michael.
“Hamilton has achieved his results in a technically cleaner way, simply through wheel-to-wheel battles and no dirty tricks when it comes to contact with other drivers.”
