On Tuesday Formula 1 teams conducted the post-season young driver test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
Although the test is aimed at drivers who had less than two F1 races, the rule was changed so that any driver that didn’t participate in the current season was allowed to drive. This means returning double world champion Fernando Alonso was allowed to participate.
Mercedes’ Formula E drivers Stoffel Vandoorne (he’s also the team’s reserve driver) and Nyck de Vries took over testing duties for Mercedes.
