Lewis Hamilton was a guest on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert where he talked about his seventh championship win, promoting diversity and more!
During the interview Hamilton explained to Colbert how it felt after he passed the checkered flag to win his seventh world title.
“All the emotions, from my father who had three or four jobs to let me race because he really believed in me, that all came out,” said Hamilton.
“It’s the first time I’ve cried in the car, so it was really emotional.”
Colbert also asked Lewis what advice would he give to his younger self.
“Never doubt yourself and always keep believing in yourself. In the end you are just a human being and like everyone else you will have ups and down. You will constantly be fighting with your mind to perform the impossible.
“There will be days when you will feel like you are not going to succeed, but you won’t give up,” concluded the seven-time champion.
