After the Spanish Grand Prix an image started making the rounds depicting Lewis Hamilton supposedly illegally touching Sergio Perez’s Red Bull in parc fermé. Mercedes issued a denial, and a video emerged which proves it did not happen.
After the Spanish Grand Prix images emerged of Lewis Hamilton supposedly touching Segio Perez’s rear wing in parc fermé, which is a violation of Article 2.5.1 of the FIA’s International Sporting Code.
The Article in question reads:
“Inside the parc ferme, only the officials assigned may enter. No operation, checking, tuning or repair is allowed unless authorised by the same officials or by the applicable regulations.”

However, Mercedes was quick to dismiss any such insinuations.
“He walked back to the paddock from his anti-doping test at the medical centre and did not touch any cars,” the team’s spokesperson said.
Afterwards a video of the supposed incident emerged, which clearly shows Lewis was just passing through and took every precaution not to touch the car.
