Back in 2009, before he was Mercedes’ team princial, Toto Wolff set a GT car record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife track and then crashed a lap later (he was ok).
Before becoming a team principal, Toto Wolff was also a racer. In 1994 he won the 24 Hours Nürburgring in his category and later in 2009 he attempted to break the record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife track. In his test lap Wolff was successful in breaking the record for a GT car, but while attempting his fastest lap he had a massive crash. Don’t worry he was alright 🙂
