The IWC Big Pilot roadshow is featuring Lewis Hamilton’s hologram and it will soon visit Charleston, Houston, and New York.
Los Angeles-based holographics company PORTL has developed a piece of technology that allows people to beam a 3D image of themselves to a seven-foot tall booth anywhere in the world.
This hologram technology has already been used by several athletes and artists, and Lewis Hamilton is one of them.
Swiss watchmaker IWC has made Lewis’ hologram a part of their tour of the U.S. aimed at promoting their Big Pilot brand.
The upcoming dates of the tour are:
- Charleston, SC – October 28th to October 31st, 2021
- Houston, TX – November 4th to November 7th, 2021
- New York, NY – November 11th to November 14th, 2021
You can see the hologram in action below.

Yes, @LewisHamilton is a great race car driver. But he also happens to be a pretty terrific PORTL hologram too. pic.twitter.com/Gjf4XdH0Rd
