Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko says he believes the frontrunners in 2022 will again be Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
With Formula 1 cars drastically changing in 2022, many are expecting the field to be shaken up and more teams to join the fight at the front.
However, Red Bull advisor Dr. Helmut Marko believes Mercedes and Red Bull will again lead the field, with Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the helm.
“Mercedes and we have the potential, the people and the continuity,” the Austrian told Auto Motor und Sport.

“That speaks again for a fight at the highest level. Especially since there are no other drivers like [Lewis] Hamilton and [Max] Verstappen.”
Marko adds his team’s goal is to win the world title in 2022.
“The declared goal is the world title,” he says, however he warns that “with such a big rule change, you can never be sure”.
