Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have taken Mercedes’ 2022 challenger – the W13 for its first spin around the Silverstone Circuit today.
After launching its 2022 challenger – the W13, Mercedes performed the car’s first shakedown at Silverstone.
The first driver behind the wheel was George Russell, followed by Lewis Hamilton. The F1 regulations allow for two filming days per year, limited to 100km, and Pirelli’s demo tyres have to be used.
The W13’s next outing will happen on Wednesday in Barcelona, when a three-day pre-season “session” starts.
