McLaren is investigating abusive social media messages aimed at Lewis Hamilton, which were allegedly posted by one of the team’s employees.
McLaren is investigating abusive messages aimed at Lewis Hamilton, which have been posted on social media over a period of several years, allegedly by one of the team’s employees.
The messages, which contain graphic language, have allegedly been posted on said employee’s personal Twitter, Facebook and TikTok accounts, and have since been deleted.

“We consider these comments to be completely at odds with our values and culture at McLaren,” read a statement from McLaren.
“We take the matter extremely seriously and are investigating it as a priority.”
Hamilton started his Formula 1 career with McLaren in 2007 and won his first championship just a year later. He remained with the team until the end of 2012, when he made the switch to Mercedes’ works team.
