Lewis Hamilton says he believes Mercedes is still “championship worthy”, but “we will find out in the next couple of days what is realistic”.
Ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton made a strong statement of intent when asked about the possibility of Mercedes challenging for the 2023 title.
The Briton says he is prepared for the championship battle, if Mercedes’ package allows him to fight.
“We will find out in the next couple of days what is realistic,” Lewis told Sky Sports.

“But that’s what I have prepared for. I have prepared myself for a championship battle. Whether or not we have the equipment for a championship battle? We will find out.
“But I do believe that I have the team, still, who are championship worthy.
“It’s just for us to keep our heads down,” Hamilton concluded.
