Lewis Hamilton says he doesn’t expect Max Verstappen to “slip up”, and adds “he’s a world champion and so I wouldn’t question his determination or his focus”.
Max Verstappen started his 2023 season on a high note, after he completely dominated the Bahrain Grand Prix.
After Red Bull’s dominant performance, everybody in the Formula 1 paddock believes the team will be hard to stop, as their car seems to be miles ahead of everybody else’s.
George Russell and Toto Wolff already said they expect Red Bull to win every race this season, and some observers are saying they can lose only if they make a mistake.
Lewis Hamilton, however, doesn’t expect Verstappen to make any mistakes.

“I think he will be very, very confident,” the Briton said.
“I think they developed an amazing car last year, they blew away all the records on pretty much everything and I don’t even think they were pushing at the end and still were way ahead.
“I don’t think he’ll slip up. He’s a world champion and so I wouldn’t question his determination or his focus.
“I think he will be just as focussed as ever, and it’s our job to catch up,” Hamilton concluded.
