Lewis Hamilton explains how his support structure is organized, after the departure of his physio, assistant and overall right-hand woman Angela Cullen.
Angela Cullen can no longer be seen in the Formula 1 paddock, after her departure from Lewis Hamilton’s team.
For eight years the duo has been inseparable, with Angela responsible for Lewis’ daily routine, personal logistics, his diet, sleep patterns, travel arrangements and more.
Now ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, Lewis explains how his support structure looks now that Angela is no longer there.
“I have a slightly different setup,” the Briton said.
“ [Angela’s job] is shared between two individuals, the rest of my team does the same. The setup I have right now is great.
“One of the guys – Steve – was with me since my first race at McLaren, he followed me here as my gearbox technician and moved on to several other roles.

“The weekends are so busy, so you have a little chat in the garage but now we have a little bit of a more exciting journey together.
“Otherwise, I’m working on someone with my training – Kylie, then I have Santi here, I have Penni [Thow, media talent manager]. I have a great support structure.”
Lewis then said he is still in regular contact with Angela.
“Ange and I was talking just the other day. We stay in contact quite consistently. We’re always gonna be in each other’s lives, always looking forward to next fun adventure.
“Whether it be skydiving, climbing Mount Everest together at some stage, probably, who knows,” Hamilton concluded.
