While everybody is waiting for Mercedes to reveal their upgraded W14, the team posted a photo of the ‘upgrade’, but it’s not what everyone expected.
Mercedes was planning to introduce a big upgrade for their 2023 car at Imola, but after the race was cancelled, this was pushed back to the next race in Monaco.
Still, F1 media and fans have been clamouring for a sneak peek at the upgraded W14, so Mercedes decided to have some fun with it.
The team posted a photo of the ‘upgrade’ on social media, but it’s not what everybody was expecting. They actually posted a photo of the same old W14, but with George Russell added as the front wing.
More specifically, they used a photo of George’s viral F1 intro pose and added it to the car as the new front wing.
