Max Verstappen says the rumour saying that Ferrari has been preparing a contract offer for Lewis Hamilton is “good” because “it ups the price a bit at Mercedes to pay him”.
Recently, a lot of rumours have been flying around, saying that Ferrari has been preparing a contract offer for Lewis Hamilton.
This has since been denied by both Ferrari and Lewis himself.
Despite this, ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was asked to give his thoughts on the rumours.

“I’m not betting, I’m also not interested,” the Dutch driver said.
“It’s his decision, right? I think he feels really happy at Mercedes. They’ve won a lot together.
“Maybe it’s good, because it ups the price a bit at Mercedes to pay him, so it’s good,” Verstappen concluded.
