George Russell says “P11 isn’t the best starting position but we have had some good results from further down the field this year, so all is not lost”.
George Russell had a really bad time in the Austrian Grand Prix Qualifying. Unfortunately the Briton was eliminated in Q2 and he will be starting the main race on Sunday from P11.
“Just not quick enough today,” George said after the session.
“From the first lap in practice just didn’t have the right feel in the car.
“In the sprint weekend you don’t have a lot of time to make changes. Let’s see what we can do tonight and into tomorrow.

“The tyre deg looked quite bad in practice so it will probably be a two-stop race.
“We need to understand what’s going on at the moment as we are struggling, especially on Saturdays,” Russell concluded.
