After the British Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton teased Max Verstappen for his propensity to use profanity when things are not going his way.

Max Verstappen has been known to use profanity over the team radio, when he is encountering a problem while driving, or when he thinks his team had made a mistake.

During the British Grand Prix, Verstappen complained to his race engineer about his car acting ‘weird’, so he was later asked about this at the post-race press conference.

“Now, there were a few anxious radio calls during the race from you,” a reporter said.

“You said at one point the car’s pulling, it’s a bit weird, that was one of them. And you also didn’t like the Soft tyre, just were any of these serious issues?”

Verstappen answered that “they were not serious, but I like to report these things to the team”.

“The wind was very, very bad at one point, it was really unpredictable. So that’s what I reported,” he added.

Lewis Hamilton, who was seated next to Max, then decided to tease him for his propensity to use profanity.

“Did you put the F in front of any of those words?” the Briton asked.

“No, no, actually not this time,” Verstappen replied.

“He’s only serious when he puts the F in front of it,” Lewis continued, and then asked Max: “Have you seen your videos?”

“Yeah, that was 2020, that was a great year,” Verstappen replied, pointing to Lewis’ 2020 British Grand Prix win.

“Yeah, yeah, that was a good one,” he concluded.
