Toto Wolff says he believes Mercedes is “one of a few teams that doesn’t get a lot of negative comments when the car is not good”.
It hasn’t been easy to be a Mercedes fan for the past two years. After an eight-year run of success, in 2022 the team did not adapt to new rules as well as Red Bull, and has been struggling to return to its former glory ever since.
However, team boss Toto Wolff says the fan support has been amazing throughout all of the difficulties.
“It’s always great to see the fan support,” the Austrian said.

“And I think we are one of a few teams that doesn’t get a lot of negative comments when the car is not good.”
Toto even said Mercedes’ fans are more loyal than those of some of the other outfits on the grid.
“Contrary to many others I think we have such a strong supporters group that cheer for us, that suffer with us,” Wolff concluded.
