Lewis Hamilton says he is “really happy to hear of the progress being made” with the F1 Academy, and praises its Managing Director Susie Wolff.
Susie Wolff, a former racer and Formula E team principal (and wife of Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff), is currently serving as the Managing Director of the F1 Academy.
The F1 Academy is an all-female racing championship founded by Formula 1, and is aimed at helping female racers find their way to the highest tiers of motorsport.
Lewis Hamilton, a big supporter of the now-defuct all-female W Series, has praised Formula 1 and Susie for their contribution to increasing inclusivity in motorsport.

“Really happy to hear of the progress being made,” the Briton said.
“I think it’s been great having Susie in there, who was a phenomenal driver, so has the perspective from a driver side, but also she’s been a team owner.
“She’s really fighting for that inclusivity, so I think it’s really great the steps that were taken.
“And [I’m] really happy to hear that all of Formula 1 is on board,” Hamilton concluded.
