After Christian Horner said Lewis Hamilton inquired about a possible Red Bull seat, and Lewis denied it, Max Verstappen now gives his thoughts.
Ahead of the 2023 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Christian Horner said that earlier this year Lewis Hamilton inquired about a possible seat with Red Bull. Lewis has since completely denied the story.
When asked about this by reporter David Croft, Max Verstappen said it’s unimportant because the move is never going to happen.
“What would it add to know?” Max said.
“Because I didn’t know, it’s not happening. You know there’s no point to make up stories if it’s not happening.”

Asked about his feelings on having Lewis as a team-mate, Max said:
“So yeah, I wouldn’t mind, it doesn’t matter anyway. I don’t want to put it now, particularly on Lewis, I mean, there are so many great drivers as well.
“Sometimes it just doesn’t work out like that,” he concluded.
