Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff recently signed a new contract with the team, and he says he felt he could make his “best contribution as Team Principal and CEO”.

In January, Mercedes announced that Toto Wolff has extended his deal with Mercedes for three more years, to remain the Team Principal and CEO.

Wolff is also a one-third owner of the team, so he would be involved in the team’s affairs in one way or the other anyway, but with this extension Wolff guaranteed that he will continue leading the team into the new 2026 regulations era.

As part of Mercedes’ 2024 car launch, Toto discussed his decision.

“I am going to always be part of this team as a shareholder but I felt that I am able to make my best contribution as Team Principal and CEO,” the Austrian said.

“Last year allowed me to reflect on the areas that I can improve and that was important to give me perspective for the years to come.

“We have clarity at the top levels of the organisation and that stability will provide the team with confidence,” he concluded.
