Sebastian Vettel says Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are the best drivers he has ever raced against, because “Michael was my hero and Lewis is the best in terms of statistics”.
In an interview with talkSPORT, Sebastian Vettel was asked to name the best driver he has ever raced against.
“I would say Michael [Schumacher] and Lewis [Hamilton],” Vettel said.
“Why? Because numbers speak for themselves. Michael was my hero and Lewis is the best in terms of statistics.”

When asked who is the ‘toughest’ competitor on the track, Seb said:
“Fernando [Alonso]. I had close championships and close calls with him and throughout my career generally he’s the sort of driver who is always there.
“Very competitive – yeah I think he was the hardest competitor I faced,” the German concluded.
