When asked how he wants to be remembered when he retires, Lewis Hamilton said it might be as a “game-changer” and a “voice for equality”.

There is not doubt that Lewis Hamilton will be remembered as one of the greatest racing drivers of all-time. However, when asked how he would like to be remembered, Lewis indicated he would like to be remembered for his influence off the track, as well as on it.

“I don’t really know,” the seven-time champion told Sky Sports F1

“I haven’t really thought about it. Maybe game-changer, voice for equality or something like that.

“And now we live in a space where we can be more open about it. No one has the right to tell us to shut up anymore.

“And I think that’s super empowering,” concluded Hamilton.
