Despite Formula 1 changing the date of the French Grand Prix, due to the cancellation of the Turkish Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean’s test will go on as planned.
Formula 1 has announced a revision of the 2021 calendar, since the Turkish Grand Prix had to be dropped due to the country being red-listed by the UK government.
This means the French Grand Prix had to be moved forward by a week to June 20. Grosjean’s Mercedes demo run was scheduled for the French Grand Prix weekend, but it is now clashing with his IndyCar obligations.

However, Mercedes announced that his test will still happen on the scheduled date, despite the demo run not being able to go on as planned.
“[The] full test on the 29th June will be going ahead, as planned, but the demo laps on the Sunday of the French GP now clash with an IndyCar race so that won’t be possible,” announced Mercedes on social media.
