Lewis Hamilton admits he has his “frustrations” about his P7 at the Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying, but he accepts his situation and is ‘hoping for rain’.
Lewis Hamilton’s Monaco Grand Prix Qualifying was a disaster, there’s no getting around it. However, the Briton says he is not upset by what happened.
“I wouldn’t say I’m upset,” said the Briton.
“Of course I have my frustrations. I guess I’m slightly better composed. I know there is nothing I can do now – it is what it is.
“I was feeling hopeful on Thursday, hoped we could fight in the top three. But the steps we have taken have led us in the wrong direction.

“But it is what it is. You live and you learn.”
Starting from P7 in Monaco, a track notorious for its lack of overtaking possibilities, Hamilton is aware that a win is most probably “out of reach” for him.
However, the Briton, perhaps tongue in cheek, is still holding out hope that something could happen to make his situation a bit better on Sunday.
“I’m hopeful it could rain. I don’t think it will rain, but it would be nice if it did,” concluded the seven-time champion.
