Lewis Hamilton says his new Mercedes contract will “hopefully” be “done soon”, but “in this break no-one has been thinking about it”.
The F1 media seemingly can’t stop speculating about Lewis Hamilton’s contract situation, so ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Lewis was asked to provide an update.
“I’m staying where I am,” the Briton said.
“It just takes time. We just had this break, as well. In this break no-one has been thinking about it. Hopefully it will be done soon.”

A reporter then asked him what is ‘missing’ from the contract, since it is still not done.
“I can’t tell you,” Lewis said.
“There’s always something missing,” he concluded.
