Ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen had their cars fitted with fresh gearboxes that will be used in the final two races of the 2021 season.
Mercedes and Red Bull have decided to fit Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen’s cars with fresh gearboxes ahead of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
The last gearbox change they both had was after their crash at the Italian Grand Prix, and under the rules they are allowed to make a change once six Grands Prix have passed.
This means they will not be taking any grid penalties.
