McLaren’s Oscar Piastri had a little fun when he was asked if Lewis Hamilton winning his eighth Formula 1 title in his final season with Mercedes would be “incredible”.
Lewis Hamilton will leave Mercedes at the end of 2024, after 12 years with the team. Although his run was highly successful, in 2022 and 2023 the team struggled and Lewis was not able to win any races.
Now, ahead of the 2024 season, Mercedes hopes they have finally managed to come to grips with their car, so hopefully wins can soon follow.
