Toto Wolff says the collision between Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez at the Belgian Grand Prix Sprint Race was a racing incident and adds “it takes two to tango”.
At one point in the Belgian Grand Prix Sprint Race, Lewis Hamilton was attempting to overtake Sergio Perez, and the two drivers collided.
Although the general opinion is that this was a racing incident, the FIA decided to hand Lewis a five-second penalty. This means that he dropped from P4, where he originally finished, to P7.
Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says the decision made by the stewards was completely wrong.

“An absolute racing incident,” the Austrian said.
“This is a Sprint race, we want to see them racing. The argument of there being damage isn’t valid because he was going backwards before then, massively backwards.
“They were side-by-side. Fair enough, it takes two to tango but it is a racing incident.
“It is pretty clear,” Wolff concluded.
