Lewis Hamilton’s long-time engineer Peter Bonnington – Bono, will not follow Lewis to Ferrari, but will remain at Mercedes as head of race engineering.
In Mercedes’ Dutch GP preview, Toto Wolff says the team has “made good steps in improving the W15’s weaknesses” and “will continue to work hard to take more”.
Shovlin says Mercedes wants “to be fighting at the front next year”, so “there’ll be significant changes”, but “you won’t want to change the architecture of the car”.
Leclerc says he’s “really looking forward” to partnering up with Hamilton, and when he looks at the way Lewis drives and his data, he only sees “strengths”.
Lewis’ former physio and assistant Angela Cullen says she is a “physiotherapist, but I manage way greater than just the physio and the body side of things”.
Andrew Shovlin says “the fact that we haven’t had a competitive car made it difficult for Lewis, because he is a driver who is just born to win races”.
Shovlin says Mercedes hopes they can carry their momentum “into the final bit of the season, continue to develop and hopefully continue to win some races”.
