British Racing Drivers’ Club has awarded Lewis Hamilton the BRDC Gold Medal and BRDC Gold Star for his achievements in 2021.
The British Racing Drivers’ Club has presented Lewis with the BRDC Gold Medal and BRDC Gold Star during Mercedes’ 2022 car launch and shakedown at Silverstone.
Every year the BRDC hands out awards to British drivers across multiple categories. The Gold Medal is the award for highest achievement in motor racing, and Lewis won it after surpassing 100 Grand Prix victories in 2021.
The Gold Star is awarded to the club member who achieves the best result in international championships.
Apart from this, Lewis also won the Graham Hill Trophy, for the “most meritorious performance” by a British driver in single-seater racing.
