1996 F1 champion Damon Hill reacts to Max Verstappen’s parc ferme rant aimed at George Russell, after their collision at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint Race.
On lap 1 of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix Sprint Race, George Russell and Max Verstappen were involved in a battle for P3, which led to a collision that damaged Max’s sidepod.
After the race, Max confronted George in parc ferme, but the Briton wasn’t interested in a discussion. This caused Verstappen to call him a “d**khead”.
Damon Hill was not impressed by Max’s reaction.
“We should just give Max Verstappen the championship and not bother with anything else,” Hill facetiously told Sky Sports F1.

“I am sorry, that is just sulking, a poor loser. It is there for everyone, it is the same competition.
“He should be thinking about tomorrow, thinking about the championship and putting it behind him.”
Asked if he thought enough room was given in the opening moments of the Sprint Race, Hill said:
“Yes, I think that is racing. There is not much more that Max could do, he gave him room and stayed on the outside but George did slide into him and contact him a little bit.
“But this is racing,” the Briton concluded.
