Lewis Hamilton says he plans on racing in Formula 1 well into his forties, and adds “it is good” that Fernando Alonso “is still around”.
Earlier this year, Lewis Hamilton has signed a multi-year deal with Ferrari, which means he will drive for the team at least until the end of 2026.
Ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix, Lewis said he intends to continue racing for “quite some time”, which means he will be racing well into his forties.
“I am not the oldest driver here,” the Briton said.
“I am going to be racing for quite some time still so it is good [Alonso] is still around.

“And shows the new era of athlete, what the human body can do and continue to do if you nurture it.
“I never thought I would be racing into my 40s. I’m pretty sure I said I wouldn’t, but life is such a crazy trip.
“I don’t feel 40. I generally feel great,” Hamilton concluded.
