After walking out of a media session in Japan over a Ferrari question, Lewis Hamilton says “there’s people continuing to talk s*** and it will continue on for the rest of the year”.

After the Japanese Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was asked by a journalist if he was “jealous” when watching Ferrari’s strong performances.

“Do you have any better questions?” Lewis asked, and proceeded to walk away from the media session.

Now, ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix, Lewis explained that he does not care about the media’s opinion on his decision.

“I don’t feel like I need my decision vindicating,” the Briton said.

“I know what was right for me, and that hasn’t changed since the moment that I made the decision.

“There’s not been a moment where I questioned it, and I’m not swayed by other people’s comments.

“Even today, there’s people continuing to talk s*** and it will continue on for the rest of the year. And I’ll have to just do what I did the previous time.

“Only you can know what’s right for you and it will be an exciting time for me,”

Asked to clarify what he meant by people “continuing to talk s***”, Lewis said: “Just reports out there.”
