George Russell says if Lewis Hamilton, Kimi Antonelli and himself “could all choose who we’d share the podium with, [it would be] probably with each other”.
After finishing the Chinese Grand Prix in P2, George Russell had the opportunity to share the podium with his team-mate Kimi Antonelli, but also with his former team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
Afterwards, the Briton said the moment was “really special”.
“Yeah, I mean, if we could all choose who we’d share the podium with, [it would be] probably with each other to be honest,” Russell said.

“Obviously, I had the pleasure of being team-mates with Lewis for those years and learned so much, and then obviously being team-mates with Kimi for the past year and a bit and seeing his growth…
“He’s such a talented driver and he’s going to be giving me a hard time this year, no doubt.
“So that was really special and it was nice just to be with each other up there,” he concluded.
