Lewis Hamilton has been ranked number eight in Forbes’ Top 10 highest-paid athletes of 2021 list, with an estimated $82 million earned in 2020.
Forbes has released its annual list of Top 10 highest-paid athletes, and Lewis Hamilton is ranked at number eighth. He is the only motorsport personality to crack the top ten.
This is not very surprising, as Lewis is the most successful Formula 1 driver in history, with seven world titles to his name, six of which he has won in the last seven years.
He is also the most popular driver in the mainstream, with various endorsement and other deals in place from the likes of Tommy Hilfiger, Monster Energy and Puma.
The top three highest earning drivers on the list are MMA fighter Conor McGregor, followed by footballers Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo.
