Lewis Hamilton has been attached to McLaren since he was a child, and he has made his Formula 1 debut in 2007 driving for the team.
From there he won his first Formula 1 championship a year later in 2008, and continued to drive for the team until the end of 2012, when he decided to move to Mercedes.
After a difficult few years McLaren has been getting better and better, and is now fighting at the top of the midfield. Lewis says he is happy for his former team’s recent success.
“It’s really great to see McLaren up there, of course, who gave me my break,” the Briton said.

“To see them go through such a difficult period of time…
“I always look, when I’m in the garage I always trying to see where they are, because that’s obviously a family to me.
“So it’s great to see them coming back up and starting to show some real speed and yeah, the more the merrier,” concluded the seven-time champion.
