Lewis Hamilton calls on “those in positions of influence” to “deescalate” the conflict between Palestine and Israel and asks for support.
The devastating conflict between Israel and Palestine is raging on. In a post on social media Lewis Hamilton called on his followers to help those affected by the conflict.
“I’m devastated at what I’m seeing happen between Palestine and Israel,” wrote Lewis.
“I hope and pray that we see an end to the fighting. No child should live in fear of violence; to be cowering under their beds, hoping it’s not their house that gets hit next.
“Those in positions of influence need to deescalate this immediately.

“If you’re feeling as powerless as I am right now, or if you’re unsure what to say and how to help during a time like this, there are groups on the ground who provide tangible support to people in need.
“Food, water, bandages, and other basic necessities. I donated to [Save the Children] today to support their essential work in Gaza.
“Join me in supporting them if you are able, or consider supporting other groups making an impact on the ground,” concluded Hamilton.
