After suffering from exhaustion at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton says his health is “not a concern” ahead of the second part of the season.
Lewis Hamilton was visibly unwell after he stepped out of his car at the Hungarian Grand Prix. After visiting Mercedes’ team doctor, he joined the post-race press conference, where he suggested his condition might even be connected to lingering effects of his 2020 COVID-19 infection.
However, at the Belgian Grand Prix Thursday press conference he said he is now feeling “in better shape” as he gets ready for the second half of the season.
“Well, naturally it is personal information,” said the Briton.

“But of course, I have spent time over this period just trying to make sure I am in the best shape. I do feel like I am in better shape moving into the second half of the season.
“It is not a concern for me. Naturally in the world, we are still in this pandemic and I still stress the importance that people stay safe.
“As you move around, you see people relaxing more and more but the virus is still around so we continue to be in our bubble.
“I will continue to be focused on my health and making sure I continue to get stronger through the rest of the year,” concluded Hamilton.
