Credible F1 news outlets are reporting that the official announcement of Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull is expected shortly.
On Thursday, credible reports came out saying that Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey has informed the team that he intends to leave.
While Red Bull has issued a statement saying they are not aware of Newey’s intention to leave, outlets like BBC and Autosport still stand by their original reports.
Since then, it was reported that Newey was set to have an internal meeting with Red Bull to discuss his future, and now credible sources are reporting the official announcement of his departure is imminent.

According to Autosport, it is expected that Red Bull will come out with a statement ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, possibly even today (Tuesday).
Newey reportedly communicated his reasons for leaving in an internal letter, and he is expected to continue in his role as Red Bull’s Chief Technical Officer until the end of 2024, before leaving at the beginning of 2025 at the latest.
While the reasons for his decision to leave the team are not known officially, Autosport reports that it is a consequence of what is described as a ‘broken’ relationship with team boss Christian Horner, following the allegations made against him by a female employee.
