Auto Motor und Sport reports on the penalty that will be handed to Red Bull if the team chooses to enter into an ‘Accepted Breach Agreement’.

Auto Motor und Sport reports that Red Bull has been informed of the penalty that will be handed to them by the FIA, for their 2021 cost cap breach, if they agree to the ‘Accepted Breach Agreement’.

According to the report, the penalty on the table is a deduction of 25 percent of wind tunnel time for the coming season, plus a fine. Deduction of 2021 points is reportedly off the table.

The report further states that Red Bull does not agree with this penalty, with team boss Christian Horner trying to make a counter offer.

AMuS also writes that Horner has to coordinate his actions with the Mateschitz family, who own of Red Bull, because the company fears this situation could hurt its image beyond Formula 1.

As for the timeline for when the situation could finally be over, AmuS reports that if Red Bull accepts the agreement, it will be over immediately, but if they choose to pursue legal action, it could drag on for another six months.
