Valtteri Bottas will participate in the 2022 Race of Champions and team up with two-time F1 champion Mika Häkkinen to represent Team Finland.
Next year the Race of Champions will return after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will be held in February, at Pite Havsbad in Sweden.
It has already been announced that Valtteri Bottas will participate in the event, and now we know his partner will be none other than two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Häkkinen!
“I’m very excited to be back racing again and to finally be able to participate in the Race Of Champions,” said Häkkinen.
“It will be very different from racing in Formula 1, but I love competition and it’s so spectacular driving on snow and ice.

“I’ll try to get some practice at my place in the north of Finland before the event.”
Häkkinen has been a big support and a part of Bottas’ management team, so it’s not surprising Valtteri is happy with his new team-mate.
“I’m very happy to have him as my team-mate representing Finland in the ROC Nations Cup,” Bottas said.
“But then of course we have to try to beat each other in the individual Race of Champions. It will be entertaining for the fans, whoever wins it,” concluded the Finn.
