George Russell says if Mercedes can “make sure that we hit the ground running” in 2024, “there will be no stopping us”.
Mercedes’ great performance at the Spanish Grand Prix seems to indicate that the team’s big upgrade package has been a success.
After the race, George Russell was asked when the next upgrade is coming.
“Hopefully next race,” Russell told BBC’s Chequered Flag podcast.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I think Mercedes are the best teams in the grid in terms of development, time and time again.

“We know where we fell short over the winter this year, we’re gonna do our best to claw that gap back to Red Bull and, you know.
“[We’re] already looking towards next year and how we can make sure that we hit the ground running.
“Because if we do, I think there will be no stopping us,” the Briton concluded.
