Red Bull team boss Christian Horner says his team feels “that we’ve absolutely complied with the cost cap, with the regulations”.

The FIA has delayed the official results of their assessment of the 2021 financial data submitted by all Formula 1 teams until Monday.

With Red Bull rumoured to have breached the 2021 budget cap, team boss Christian Horner says the team is very interested to see what the FIA comes out with next week.

“We await with interest to see what happens on Monday,” the Briton said.

“Again, we feel that we’ve absolutely complied with the cost cap, with the regulations, happy with our submission and awaiting to hear what the feedback is.

“It’s a big weekend for Max. It’s a possibility rather than a probability but it’s another match point effectively for him.

“That’s what we’re focused on. The amount of noise that’s been around other topics, one can only think it’s designed to be a bit of a distraction.

“We’re very happy with where we are, with where our submission for the cap is and all focus is on this weekend,” concluded Horner.
