Dutch former F1 driver Christijan Albers says Toto Wolff handles the war of words between Mercedes and Red Bull better than Christian Horner.
As we approach the end of the 2021 season, things between Red Bull and Mercedes are getting more heated.
This is especially evident in a war of words that has erupted between Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and Red Bull team boss Christian Horner.
The two team bosses were actually put together in a fiery Qatar Grand Prix press conference, and Christijan Albers loved it.
“That one was kind of fun, wasn’t it? I liked them together,” the Dutchman told De Telegraaf.
“I’m not a Toto fan, I’m not a Horner fan, but I do think Toto handles it better I must tell you, more professional.”

At the press conference Horner accused Mercedes of having an illegal rear wing, something that Wolff immediately stot down.
Albers says he believes Wolff is more knowledgeable when it comes to technical matters, while Horner “doesn’t have a clue”.
“That too, and Toto really asks his engineers ‘how’ and ‘what’. He’s more into the [technical] matters than Horner. Horner doesn’t have a clue. The issue is that he doesn’t delve into the matter.
“You see that Horner doesn’t ask his engineers any more questions when it comes to technique,” the Dutchman concluded.
